Over the weekend, Ann travelled south by train to join Pat and Mike
for their garden celebration of Pat's big-0 birthday.
Cathy and Sam joined them for the weekend too. They all stayed overnight in in Keyworth whilst I dog-sat at home.
Pat and I have been friends since 1965 .. . that's a 50th 'Golden anniversary' year for us !
Saturday afternoon saw fifty or so friends and family celebrate Pat's birthday, which was in March . . .
but garden parties are always nicer when the sun shines !
Late afternoon musical entertainment from friends Geoff and Brian (in the lighter shirt).
Most of our family seemed to be either at weddings this weekend or have other committments,
but it was lovely to be joined in Keyworth by Cathy and my grandson Sam, who drove up from Surrey.
Pat and Mike have made a feature of this sculpture which includes a large Honister Slate fountain.
Cathy tests the fountain on Sunday morning.
Jazzi, Pat's grandaughter, and our grandson Sam.
They have been friends for a while now. . .
A group photo taken by Sam . . . this one includes Jazzi and Rachael, Pat's daughter, on the right.
Ann, Pat, Jazzi, Cathy and Rachael.
A happy, enjoyable weekend with good friends and family.
