Ann and Jo enjoy a local walk back from Cinderdale to home.

The weather cycles through fine days and rough.  This was one of the better ones.

It is the last day of the year and friends join us later to see the old year out.

We had to wait all morning until the rain stopped. We were then stopped in our tracks because the shoreline on

Crummock side was impassable as the lake was so high. We took to the higher ground next to the wall skirting  the road.

The flooded beach area can be seen in this photo as we rejoin our intended path  on this side of the gate.

Low Fell and Darling Fell above Loweswater

Jo takes a similar shot.

Harry is only interested in sticks being thrown, forget photography !

That's more like it ! Amber swims out with great enthusiasm into the lake after a stick, Harry waits for more.

Great fun at the boathouse beach for the dogs

Jo captures the fun . . .

. . .  but forgets where the zoom-out button on her camera is to be found !

On the way back the sun makes a weak attempt to shine.
Seen here just topping the summit ridge of Mellbreak

More beach fun, Harry waits whilst Amber has a good shake

The weir and bridges are still under flood waters.

This lady attempts to walk across. Her son had just tipped out his wellies full of water after he crossed !

Crummock's answer to tropical rain forest swamps . . without the tropical heat.

A view across the fields from the bridge on the way  home.

[ A little fuzzy due to the damp perhaps.]

On the international menu . . . Thai Soup starters, Japanese main course plus an English dessert.

Table for six tonight . . . Jo, Hilton and Ann.

Myself, Dee, John and Jo (that makes seven !)

It's that Jo getting in two photos again . . . there were only six of us tonight.

Home made Sushi . . . vegetarian with one row of smoked salmon and one of prawn.

Hi, and many thanks to all those Loweswatercam viewers who have written to us or said "Hello" during 2013.
