It was a great day for weather today, but also a great day for turning out and fulfilling my work obligations

so my walk out today was delayed till lunch time !

I needed to visit the Theatre by the Lake so I took the opportunity to divert through the park.

The grand houses on The Heads overlook the golf course and the park.

Chance for this youngster to learn to play golf during the half term holiday.

Hope Park colours by the ornamental bridge.

Carlside and Skiddaw across Crow Park.

Having visited the Theatre, I continued on down to the Boat Landings.

The water has receded since the weekend and the boats are available for hire once again.

The Lake Steamer is offering "Round the Lake only" boat trips.

Presumably they haven't checked all the jetties yet.

Visitors check out the unused boat.
The gulls are taking time out for a rest on the poles.

Out for a row . . . mind that big boat behind you.

What a great day . . . what a contrast from the weekend.

They're updating the roadway towards Friars Crag.
They are repairing the supporting wall and updating the paving.

It's sunny . . . do I really want an ice cream ?

The clocks have gone back at the weekend and it's dark for the first time as I leave work.

I divert via the main square . . .

The Old Keswickian back in full swing after the fire a few months ago.
The Moot Hall and the early evening crowd.

Chocolate treats on sale in the Friars of Keswick front window.

For the man who has everything.
