Oak Cottage homepage.

Date : The 22nd of May 2005

Location : Loweswater , Cumbria Uk,

Occasion : Village Afternoon Teas and a sheep dog display.

Walk details : 400 yards to the Village Hall (and back !)

Weather : Beautifully sunny.

Jill had been house sitting for us while we had been away down south.

The Sunday of our return was the Village sponsored walk which included serving teas at Loweswater Hall, an event not to miss.

Also this weekend Pat and Mike brought their American guest up to see the Lakes. They couldn't have chosen a better day.

A happy soul sitting in front of one of the finest view in the Western Lakes.

The Buttermere Valley from Loweswater Hall.

We enjoyed the tea provided (for a small contribution to Hall Funds) and were honoured

to watch a display of Jack and his new dog gathering sheep.

Overseen by Gordon (his dad in red) Jack gathered the flock first time

and without delay were off to pastures new. A new entrant for the next Loweswater Show perhaps ?

Another local gathering - this time without the aid of Jack's dog !

Roger, Sherrie (from America), Pat, Jill, Ann and Mike.

Technical note: Pictures taken mainly by Ann with a Canon IXUS 400 Digital camera.

Resized in Photoshop, and built up on a Dreamweaver web builder.

This site best viewed . . . with acup of tea and a sunny balcony on the world.
